Finger Painting!

Deacon was able to have a fun play date on Wednesday. Aiden and Amanda came over to do some finger painting with us! I found a recipe for finger paint using flour and water so when Deacon would eat it he would be alright :) Aiden is 4 months older than Deacon, and they kinda get along (I use the word kinda loosely) Anyways, here are some pictures from the day!

Just getting started

Not sure what to think...

Look at the hard concentration... he was just using his pointer finger

Timmerman Family Pictures

We finally got to meet our new cousin, Johanna, over the 4th of July weekend. David and Sonya came down to visit on Friday then Dustin, Deacon and I went up to the cities on Saturday. Dustin and I had a date to the Twins game while Deacon hung out at home with Grandpa and Grandma. Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Oxbow

Before surgery Dustin, Deacon and I went to Oxbow Zoo in Byron, MN. We had a lot of fun. Deacon loved looking at all the animals. It's a little zoo with animals which are native to Minnesota. Here are some pictures from our day!

Home

Well, we've been home for a week and everything is going great! My hospital stay was uneventful and went quickly. The surgery was on Thursday 6/10, Friday I was moved out of the ICU and Monday I was able to get home. Dr. Burkhart and the rest of his team were amazing and I never would have thought I would feel this good in one week. God made wonderful doctors and nurses to help us along the way. We want to say a special thank you to everyone who helped during the past weeks. Dustin who was/is my other hand. My parents and sister who were at the hospital when Dustin was at home. Everyone who was at home with Deacon-- he is going through a Auntie Chi-Chi and Auntie Ni-Ni withdrawal. And all those, too many to name, who prayed for us during this time, sent cards and flowers, and made us dinners. We are truly blessed to have such wonderful family and friends.

Over the past week we had a great time visiting with the Davis' who were up from Texas to help out. Deacon had a good time playing with his cousins, Anna and William. Deacon has been a trooper during the past week. I think he knows that mommy can't pick him up, but he still lets me give him his bottles and we play on the floor together. We've been able to get out of the house everyday to go somewhere either out to eat or to Lowes. Dustin has been amazing-- doing all the laundry, dishes and making dinners. Although, I can help a little, he's has to do most.

Hopefully I'll be able to keep up with some great summer pictures! As of now I'm a little slow moving and the camera hasn't come out!

This Saturday we had a family day of cleaning! We had all the grandpas and grandmas and auntie Karlee over to help! We all worked really hard and got everything done! Sorry, no action shots, but here are some from the day!

forgot a picture...

I forgot some of our favorites...

Nine Month Pictures

We finally had an afternoon off so we ventured out to take some pictures... we didn't have to travel far as half the pictures were taken in our backyard :) As a big nine month old Deacon is on the move! He's crawling all over and standing on everything. He only eats big boy food and loves to try everything mom and dad are having. He especially loves spaghetti! At his nine month check up the doctor said he was perfect and he's in the 87% for height and 29% for weight!.. which makes buying clothes challenging since he's too long but the bigger sizes fall right off. Here are some pictures from the day :)
