Jack

Jack is working very hard getting used to all the baby stuff around the house. He doesn't know what's coming, but we think he'll do great... maybe...

New Rocking Chair

We got a new rocking chair from Grandma and Grandpa Timmerman for the baby. It's a beautiful Amish made rocker. It will be a wonderful place to rock the baby back to sleep.

Basement project

The past couple weeks have been crazy with our basement getting finished. We are finishing a guest bedroom and a bathroom. Thanks to LOTS of help from family we are slowly making progress. All the framing (wood work) is done, but we have a long way to go. Dustin has been busy almost every night with a new project, hopefully getting it all done before baby Rich joins us. The bathroom tile was put in this weekend thanks to Grandpa Mike, while Grampy Denny and uncle David were hard at work getting everything framed. Uncle Marty came down to help with some plumbing... Now you can come and visit and have a place to sleep :)

Here are some pictures of the madness...

Looks like grandpa is about 8 months along too!

Mother's Day and Father's Day

For Mother's Day Dustin surprised me with flowers at work for mother's day. They were beautiful! I was shocked that he thought ahead to order them, and I kept them in my office to share!

For Father's Day we went out with the neighbors to give the father's a surprise... to their surprise we ended up at T-Nails for pedicures... Which the boys secretly loved. Dustin and the baby got some Viking game day apparel so they are ready for the season to begin!

Baby's Heart

We had our fetal Echo (ultrasound of the baby's heart) on April 1st, and everything looks perfect. Our cardiologist joked that the baby has dad's genes :). We will see the cardiologist at least one more time before little Rich arrives, but things should go smoothly. We appreciate all the thoughts and prayers for our little one.

Baby's New Room

Well, we got started on Baby Rich's new room with plenty of time... mostly because I was too excited to wait! Our office got moved to the basement in order to make room upstairs for the baby. Dustin was hard at work putting together all the furniture and painting, while I supervised :) We painted the room blue, not because we think it's a boy, we just both loved the color. We can't do much else to the room until we know if baby Rich is a boy or a girl. I'm sure I'll have a ton of time to decorate in August ;)... Yeah right...

Here is the crib, the bedding will be picked out in August.

The happy painters... we got grampy to help if we fed him

18 Week Ultrasounds!

We had our 18 week (1/2 way ultrasounds) on March 10th, 2009. Everything looked great. The baby had all it's fingers and toes. We decided NOT to find out the gender. When the nurse told us to "look away" I tried to peak then got hit by the nurse for sneaking a look, however, due to my lack of knowledge I had no idea what I was looking at. Baby Rich will be a wonderful surprise :)
Here are some pictures from those ultrasounds...
Here is the baby from the side sucking away... I think he or she will be a little thumb sucker.

Here are babies feet, one over the other.

Here is the babe just hanging out, he was very squirmy during the whole ultrasound, but we were able to get some great pictures!
I apologize that it has been so long since I have updated little Rich's blog. The Rich household has been very busy. Although that is no excuse since I haven't been working the past two weeks. I'll try and catch up the best I can!

Dustin with a sleeper... the baby was very good after our 14 week ultrasound, so he got some new clothes... he or she already has way too many clothes!
